I do like the Vortex Crossfire 4-12*40 AO, that was mentioned earlier, on my Savage MK II FV. For about 20 bucks more, I put the Vortex Crossfire 4-12*50 AO on my 25-06.
If your hunting situation will allow you time to adjust the Objective it will more than do the trick.
