The arctic sleeping bag my wife bought me 21yrs ago. Whether I had the best day or the worst day, at least I know I will sleep well that night.

It is my only "non-negotiable" item of hunting gear.

x2 on the trusty sleeping bag, i have an old surplus one ive been using for about 8 years now, its more comfortable than my bed.

I have tons of gear that I use all the time, from long johns to my GPS. If I lost any one of these things, hunting would be a lot more difficult, but for my favorite product;

My petzel headlamp.

I have about half a dozen of these things, stuck in pockets & pouches all over the place, in the truck, and at home. You will never know how convenient & useful they are until you have used one. Trying to use an ordinary flashlight after getting used to the headlamp is like switching to a bicycle from a car.
Probably my favorite feature is the red lense, you're less likely to spook game with a red light.
