What's your hand gun of choice?

Without a doubt on the CZ Shadow.....However,for a first handgun, you might want to go with something in .22lr to in-expensively learn proper pistol handleing.I would choose something by Ruger...

stick to 9mm inexpensive ammo, very light recoiling. For guns go with a Glock 17, a smith and wesson M&P9 or a sig 226. my personal favorite is Glock, because they are reliable, easy to maintain and they shoot very well. in fact so well it shot just as good as my buddy's colt gold cup 1911 he lent me to shoot.

Glock 17 or S&W M&P. I have both, and doubt I'll sell them. I started with an XD40, but traded it for the M&P.

Those that mention getting a .22 are wise, a M&P 22 is next on my list.

It is good advice, not only for starting and getting into the game but for staying at it. There have always been a couple of revolvers in the safe but that's change somewhat lately. A while ago from a gentleman down island, I picked up a very nice Kimber 45ACP Super Match II, primarily for a little formal paper punching capability and indoor winter shooting. The paper work just came through the other day and I picked it up.

Then, for a rimfire shooting compliament and after see seeing a couple of decent quality .22 semi autos he had available, I picked them up as well. A Browning Medalist and a Colt Woodsman Match Target.

And, now the 'bug has bitten, so I also purchased a very nice model 41 S&W and a High Standard Supermatic Citation. That takes care of my 'madd money' gun fund for a while.

Oh, I love all my Sigs, but if I could only have one, it would be my P220 Equinox. It just fits the bill in every way for me. For my wheelguns, my Colt King Cobra is stupidly beautiful. I'm trying to get a Python now....

Centerfire pistol: the good'ol 1911. In rimfire, definatly the S&W 41.

If we're talking revolvers... Only one comes to mind, the S&W N frame in all flavors & calibers.

Good Shootin'
