Whats your long range hunting caliber?

Considering you specifically mention moose sized game out past 300 yds, I would have to say, .300 Win. Mag. Flat shooting and more than enough retained energy to knock down any North American moose, especially with proper bullet placement and good bullet construction. The .308 bullet is better suited for the boreal than 7mmRM. My 2cents.

What is your long range hunting caliber? Lets say 300 or more yards is long range. For moose size game.

Im possibly thinking about a longer range hunting caliber (either 7mmRM or a 300 of some sort)
