No, and it is possible it depends at what distance his gun is zero at.

Young Sniper - With all due respect, and not wishing to call down someone who is new and whom i don't know well enough, anyone who makes a shot that needs THAT kind of luck really has to ask himself what the HELL he was thinking. Anyone who does that and then brags on a webforum about it needs a mental health professional to look at what the hell he was thinking.

clearly it can be done. it could be done alot farther. BUT, that isnt hunting its shooting so i dont like it or agree with people doing it.

it was some guy that had a gun zerod at 250 or something:rolleyes:

farthest ill ever shoot on big game is 200 yards. anything farther is just shooting. do your homework and get learn how to get close to the animals ;)

To all those comfortable - truly comfortable - reaching out past 300+ yards, all the power to you. I'm not, so I stay in that zone, and respect the ability of those who are capable of going a lot farther. But, I totally agree with Foxer. If you're relying on that type of luck? You're not a hunter...

Cow moose at 70 yards

I packed my last moose at 70 yards broadside with a 270 winchester using Federal classic 130, she didnt run 30 yards before giving up the ghost.

I was told my shot was 600 yards but I'm thinking more like 400. My closest moose was about 20 yards. My closest deer not including the cripple I finished with a big crescent wrench is about 5 yards.

I prefer not to take long shots, but, if conditions are right and I'm not shaking, and there's no chance of closing the distance, I will.

Yes its about 80 inches.
And it was still a very lucky shot.

if you are shooting an animal at that range and reliant on luck, you should have kick in the balls at the end of the day, and not a moose on the rack.

unethical as ####. there is no hunting sin greater then wounding and loosing an animal because you took a "lucky" shot. pull that #### again and I hope someone cuts your licence in half.

#### stuff like that pisses me off. please change your name to Young ##########. the Sniper title is in poor taste.
