I'm just finishing off a half keg (6lbs) of Red Dot I split with a friend. It was a good buy. Then I'm into 4 lbs of "old" C-300 that a friend gave me last summer. I've used it before and it worked great.

700X does the job well and is the most economical when you buy a 12 pounder

Yeah I have used both Hi skor 800x and 700x befor.right now I am useing hodgdon clays and find it to be both economical and very clean burning.I like those powders that are in the 16 to 20 gr range for loading .more loads per lbs is a good thing.

Where are you finding Promo at that price? A guy that sells locally said $150.00 + 12%tax for 8 lbs.
I do like my Reddot and have used 700X but was looking for cheap.
