That's a beautiful matter relocating device you have there. Can you give us an indication of what she'll do at various ranges please?

No problem. I've only tested it with factory ammo so far but here's what I've got:
American eagle FMJ- horrible- 5 inch groups @100 yards
Hornady 168gr match- averaged 3 inch groups @100
FGMM 168gr - averaged 1.5- 1.8 inch groups @100
Winchester 168gr match- ...averaged 1.2 inches @100

This really surprised me because I've never had any Winchester shoot well in any other gun I own. Was able to shoot one group at .916 with the Winchester factory 168 match but could not repeat it. I have high hopes for this rig with handloads, but time will tell.
The furthest I've shot with this rig so far is 200 yards and best group at that range was 2.6 inch with the Winchester.

I haven't played with barrel tension at all either so who knows what that will accomplish. Just before I left for work I noticed that my brake has become a little loose; just the slightest wiggle to it but you can definitely feel it. That must have happened while shooting those tests and I'm sure that the brake being loose must have caused some amount of bad vibrations on the barrel therefore affecting accuracy...?

I have this and a Savage F/TR to play with and discover loads for this winter, so I'll be burning through a whole bunch of varget I think :)
 
X2 on the American Eagle, but you have to try it eh.
Really nice set up you have there, have fun developing a load for it
 
I have 2,long and short.The short rifle is/has fiberglass GI stock,selector filled,camo tiger paint
slotted hand guard,GI,flash hider is machinist made,stock M14 front sight,but flash hider is made
to look like the old M16 three prong.Op rod guide redone,barrel is knurled and guide is
locktighted & pinedin place,also by amachinist,S & J op rod spring guide,wolfe spring,Trigger
group by Hungry,rear sight is USGI lockbar from a garand,all metal is GI,bolt bits are also GI,
Sling is BFG 2 point.I am using GI mags.W/O mags I have $1060.00 in it.Shoots very well,308
or 7.62 nato.

The long version,GI walnut stock,very good + with all GI metal,GI NM flash hider,oprod
guide is redone,barrel is knurled by a machinist redone,locktighted and pinned,oprod
spring guide is S&J,spring is wolfe,Trigger group is GI,rear sights are BM59,sling is BFG
2 point,dummy selector switch.Mags are GI.W/O mags I have $1210.00 in it. Rifle shoots
very well with 308 or 7.62 nato.

Both rifles have been thru the mill for faults and problems and have been
smoothed out and checked over.Gas systems are stock and function fine.
Prices do not include fees incurred for checkovers.
