It's possible, I suppose. I'm rather skeptical, though I wouldn't be completely floored if this gun has produced such a miracle group (3-shot, of course).
Every gun out there will produce a miracle group if you use it enough. A million monkeys on a million keyboards and all that. I once shot a 1" 3-shot group at 600 yards with my 243, but it certainly wasn't anything other than a complete fluke. And many, many of my guns will shoot <1" at 200 yards if you only count the best 3 out of 5 shots in the group - it's a very rare rifle that can do that consistently in one sitting, let alone on every sitting.
I have to agree with prosper on this one. A truly accurate rifle is consistently accurate and the average of, say 20 groups mjight be a better indication of actual performance. A "miracle" group may even happen once in awhile with a mediocre shooting rifle. It's a rifle that will show consistently small groups that becomes a reason to rejoice (and brag a bit about!!) That being said, There are sporter rifles out there that are quite surprising, and I own 2 or three of them. But consistently ½" @ 200 meters....I don't think so!!
