Wheeler 89 piece screwdriver set

Were any of the smaller flat bit tips not ground properly? I looked at the set my wife bought me and a couple of them are not right. They were not ground flat and have bumps on them.
Or well will try them after Christmas and if not right return them and order up the Brownell Magna tips.

I have quite an assortment here, and when one doesn't fit just right, I'll file the tip until it fits properly. Like the above post said, you can find them at yard sales for under a buck, usually a quarter will get you one or two.

The only regret I have about the wheeler kit is not getting it sooner. I have the 114 pc. kit and its been good so far. I try to avoid tools made in China but these have been good to me.

This is what most of the tips look like.

Well not when you look at those tips. Took them back but they wouldn't accept returns on the 26th so the counter guy and I went through several sets and found one that looks not too bad.
Meantime I ordered and got Brownells 58 piece set that puts the wheeler tips to shame.
But I might keep it as there are somethings that maybe handy to have.
I do like the Wheeler handles though.

I bought the Wheeler FAT Wrench (torque wrench) a while ago, it really helps to fine tune rifles/scopes/rings for the best accuracy. However it comes with a very limited assortment or bits. I needed more Torx bits & allen/hex head bits, but really don't need the hugh selection of slotted bits that the 89 pce set comes with, so I got the Wheeler 43 pce set. I am pleased so far and have not had any issues with deformed or misshapen bits.

That's odd. My set looks like it was cut with precision tools. All edges very even and no bumps or imperfections whatsoever.
