When and What was the First Gun you Shot

Im not positive but I think it was a Cooey Model 64. One of my uncles used to keep it under his truck seat and we shot snowballs off the farm fence posts with it when i was maybe 10.

Boy Scouts, early 70's, we were invited to an underground range in Surrey in an old building south of #10 HWY (Cadets?).
First time I smelt the burnt powder I was hooked for life.I saved the cases for years. ( Funny, still save all my centerfire cases).
Of course being a good Scout I had to enlist down the road.

CZ 75 at Silverdale Gun Club as part of their new shooter program when I was 19. I had expressed interest in getting my license and learning to target shoot but my anti-gun parents were not onboard so naturally I went behind their backs and did it anyway. It was love at first trigger pull and I’ll never forget that day.

Hmmm, I think it was cooey .22 or Stevens .410,,, but I know for sure, the first rabbit I ever shot was a duck and I killed that with a stick!!!?

First gun I remember shooting beyond pellet guns was a SIG Stgw 57 in the early 80's in Switzerland.... it was a school activity day and we could pick from a few different activities...... I choose an afternoon at the range.... :)

First handgun was a Ruger Super Blackhawk.

54 years ago..A Red Rider BB gun..then a Browning BL22 grade 1, I purchased about 45 years ago.
The Red Rider is long gone..but the BL22 sit in my safe after all those years. Seen little use in the last 20 years, but it is time to get her out.

in scouts mid 80's we got invited to indoor military range behind what is now Ottawa City hall.

We shot Lee Enfield's that had been converted to 22LR. The guys in ODG were VERY strict that we could NOT keep our brass. Each of us had to turn out our pockets and a few kids got caught.

Wasn't my 1st time shooting but it was for a lot of my troop.
