When can we expect 2014 savages to start showing up?

In a few months I want to pick up a Savage 243 youth package rifle for my boy. 11 youth international trophy hunter xp.

Any idea when these will start showing up?

Yeah, I know the glass isn't that good but I have something to throw on it..

I'm just curious if any vendors have a time line when they can be expected.

Cheers ..

Never would be too soon for me... until Savage can supply some parts and service to Canada... they appear to care less and less about service in Canada. Beware buyer.

I have a 116 and it's been nothing but faithful to me. All steel mag and all... Is the model 11 different or something? I thought they used the same one.

Guntech. Have you really had problems getting parts? I figured with the interchangeably of Savage barrels I'd have the option of rebarrelling to 7-08 down the road if he out grew the 243. I haven't seen an unavailability of parts my self so what am I missing?

I have a buddy that happily uses a ruger (and I own a few myself) the but is this Savage hate or something more tangible? Is the model 116 that different from the 11 because, personally I'd rather upgrade to a model 16 than buy a ruger if there are problems with the 11.

Nothing against ruger, just like the savages.

Savage 12 BVSS - Front baffle and the baffle spring... Multiple Savage responses (one response - try Numrich Arms) have been of no help at all. It's like they don't care what is happening up here.

Wowzers...

Well perhaps any site supporting dealers that goto places like shot show etc and run into a Savage rep can ask why the duck customers are being directed to a parts company for something they should be able to supply to the customer themselves.

New rifles - contact the importer of the rifles. nothing to do with parts

Savage factory parts - no go. No license, no export. unsure when or to whom? Ask Customer service in the US.

Aftermarket parts - no change and all the options are possible. PTG is a bit of a pain but that might work itself out.

I have a 11 Trophy XP in 243, good shooter for the price. The Weaver 3-9x is actually not a terrible scope, does the trick and can always be upgraded. Savage is running 8-10 months behind on filling orders to USA, Canada is even further behind

I noticed an online store on the savage site. It appears you can find parts through that link. However, not sure if they are shipping through to canada from that site. May be worth a look into this as it appears savage is going the way of the internet for ordering and supplying service to its customers. Here is the link. https://store.savagearms.com/partfinder/

Also successful in obtaining bolt parts from brownells, for the ones not backordered.

Sounds like Savage needs to improve their shipping and communication for Canada. Theres no reason for such poor service in todays market.
