7.62x54R is next to go. 7.62x39 and maybe 5.56 Nato may be around for a while.
7.62x54R is in active service in many militaries and is being mass produced nowadays. So it will be around for quite some time.
Even 8mm bullets are hard to find nowWestern surplus weapons and ammo are usually destroyed. Surplus 8mm hasn't excited me much at around a dollar or more per round. New FMJBT PRVI 8mm is around 1.75 a round and reloadable so that to me is better value.
Even 8mm bullets are hard to find now
Impossible to find those ammo now, I wonder if it is due to the supply chain issue we are having now?
Anyone have a better idea on this?
Thanks!
I will do that! When they become available again, if you can afford them, buy several boxes. Most local gun shops will give you a discount, equivalent to at least taxes, if you purchase 500-1000.
It's the one box at a time guys that get charged through the nose and end up running out at a time they least should be.
Two issues with surplus ammo.
1) There isn't nearly as much of it left out there as there once was.
2) With our rules for importing it, it makes it very difficult to actually import. The USA doesn't have those same rules so if it is purchasable guess who is getting it.
if you think its expensive now, wait 6months
