If you're selling an AR you can (should) get two or three.

Norinco AR. I notice that Milarm is expecting more in Feb. I wounder if Marster is getting more as well.

I don't want to pay more than $400 so I'd rather do the Marstar thing.

John, Please put my name on the list. PM sent as I cant get through by phone.

Just out of interest, I see reference to the Norinco M14 copy as being out of production, possibly for a number of years, and what we get is a slow release of warehoused guns. Once Norinco has sold out there will be no more. Apparently they were originally made for the US market and with the ban on import into the US, Norinco has abandoned the M14 line.

I have no idea whether is correct or not, but would be interested to hear if there is a factual base to this.
Thanks

How do we get on the waiting list? Does Marstar want a deposit, or full amount... is an email to their sales address with vitals sufficient?

No downpayment is necessary. Just call and give em your info and he will put you on a list. They may call you when they show up to see if you still want one...or they may not...hit or miss. Just keep on top of it and keep checking back.

I heard that Norinco bought all the milling/forgeing equipment from the old Springfield(Original M-14) plant from the US and are making better made rifles than the new SA plant is now. I would think that alot of these rifles are still being exported to 3rd World countries with an active selector switch for their armies as either training rifles or used in combat situations.

The US probably assisted the ROC/Taiwan to set up for M-14 production. They certainly did not provide the machinery to the PRC. Both ROC and PRC made selective fire rifles.

I think you heard wrong. Firstly, the current SA,Inc. plant has nothing to do with the original Springfield Armory - not the same building, people, etc.

Secondly, the M14 tooling at SA, Winchester, etc. was mostly reworked to do other things like barrel production for other still in-use at the time weapons, other firearms parts, etc. - not sold to China.

Thirdly, when the US stopped M14 production they were NOT friendly with China and had recently fought them in Korea and were fighting them indirectly in Vietnam.

Fouthly, China does not produce a military export M14 - Taiwan did though. Polytech in China did provide a few full-auto capable M14's to southeast asian rebel groups in the 80's, but that's it. The current batch were built for US importation, but Clinton put a stop to it by executive order after only a few thousand of the current batch were made. When they are gone, that will be IT.

Exactly my point, thus the drop in QC and a 15-30% return rate, spelling errors on recievers ect... So where did the Original(1950's) SA equipment go after the presidential ordered destruction of most existing GI M-14's because of the HUGE investment in the M-16a?, recycled back to the earth?, that doesn't sound like the American way.

I'm sure none of us have been too and inspected the Norinco plant(Contractors) as well as Shipping and Recieving dept's. and warehouse's, we are all going by what we've heard(Or been told by those Importing).

These companies are not regulated by anyone from UN/NATO I'm sure... It wouldn't surprise me for a minute that a few(Ship Containers) slip out the back door every other day.

We all know that the US has NEVER sold/purchased given/recieved information/equipment to/from other Countries for profit or political reasons communist or otherwise... heh heh.

But if they're not making anymore then... much like the dis-information that may be being fed to me through all forms of media for the past 20+ years suggests... as well as certain peeps that tell me parts of my anatomy may become brittle and fall off if I don't...

I better get three more... and at these prices for an autoloading rifle that's as sweet as these are and seem to be getting better every year, all I can say is Thanks Norinco, Thanks China. ;)

as a rumour or marketing tool, they work perfectly. They also introduce the general Canaidian public to semiautomatic firearms not designed for waterfowl.

I do not know if it is true or not, but one thing is for sure : they will not get any cheaper than this.:runaway:
