When scope prices are to good to be true

eBay and Amazon are so full of junk, I don't buy anything from them now.

But if you want a deal, there are a number of site sponsors selling NOS Bushnell 3500 and 4500 series scopes. The best deal I've encountered in a decade.

I got a giant swag bag recently from Vortex for pointing out an airsoft company here in Canada selling Vortex Knock offs that pulled real pics off the Vortex website to advertise them. They were 50-70% off retail but 100% knock off.

How dare someone else doing what they are doing - hope you enjoy your swag bag

Dude, you buy vortex because at the price point you are getting superior glass to others in the same price point and a lifetime no fault warranty, and unlimited access to support teams... you can literally call them and they will give you dope calibrations based on the information you provided...

I called with the new x5 spitfire and the guy didn’t have an RDB infrint of him so he got me to measure the height and distance the optic would need to sit due to the forward rail and gave me the feedback to make a decision. Try any of that with any other company out there...

I can 100% endorse the Bushnell 3500 and 4500 scopes! I have several of them and would buy more right now if my wallet had the room.

They are still junk when they fail 80 miles out in the bush somewhere, or at 7000 feet on a mountain hunting sheep.

Now, how good is that full, on-the-spot, replacement warranty?

Ted

Ok but there’s a reason a Vortex Viper Gen 2 is $1250 for a 5-25x and the military went with Nightforce 5-25 and 7-32x ATAKS scopes at $4500 and $5000 respectively...

Dollar to dollar I will put a vortex scope against anything else on the market! There’s also a massive gap between a $1800 Razor 1-6 and a $3200 Trijicon Vcog...

I’m not saying I would take my Vortex scopes in combat or jumping out a plane at 16000 feet. I’m saying they do what they do far above other brands at their price point.

Just be careful with what you buy especially if its from direct sellers, I would not cutoff my nose to spite my face

If they can make knock offs that sell at those prices, just imagine how much money the big brands must actually be making on "premium" rifle scopes.

I mean seriously...

Vortex was a Chinese tactic to take over the scope industry in America - they offered retailers huge margins and no responsibility since they just go replaced with another one - that why they pushed these over other scopes - over a few years the quality of these scopes gotten worse - I have never owned a Vortex nor do I want one - but people/consumers should take a look at the big picture

You sure you actually know much about Vortex? I am good friends with a several of the senior guys at Vortex in Wisconsin - and I can tell you firsthand how much effort they put into their products, their customer service, their customer service to their dealers etc etc.... Shamus Terry and Paul Ness at Vortex are very close friends, and I have never in my life met a person that works as hard as Shamus does, and the hours he puts in 7 days a week, every waking hour of every day - to make sure customers and dealers are taken care of... Go ask any optics dealer that deals with Vortex, what absolutely stand-up people they have in their organization. And to boot, they are some of the nicest people you will EVER meet in your life, and I have dealt with the industry for 2 decades now.

And isn't it funny that the same people that have NEVER owned a Vortex, are always the ones bashing them the most... I own tons of scopes from S&B, ZCO, Tangent, Swarovski, NF, Vortex, Zeiss etc etc, and can tell you without hesitation that dollar for dollar, nothing will beat a Vortex. Don't try and compare a $1400 Vortex with a $6300 Tangent, because they are NOT comparable, just like a Kia Picanto is not camparable to a Bentley...

Also, the bulk of Vortex's scopes are produced in the Phillipines, Japan and the USA - only their very entry level scopes are produced in China...

And if Vortex were so bad, why are they the 3rd most popular scopes to be used by the TOP 150 shooters in PRS in the US? Do you think for one moment that ANY TOP competitor would risk losing a competition because the scopes break every day??

To each his own...

I had a Viper, it broke under 30-06 recoil within a week. The reality is they are all mass produced and a small percentage will fail. I think Vortex has nice glass, but no better than equivlent models made by Bushnell or Leupold.

The mark-up on many scopes is ridiculous, and no shortage of big suckers willing to pay. The laws of diminishing returns...

Im with you in every respect and think half these morons are either keyboard warriors or band wagon jumpers. Id like to know just how many have actually owned one. I have used and presently own 9 Vortex scopes as well as two Zeiss Dyalyt and two Kahles as well as USOs and sightron and Bushnell LRTS. I have sold four Vortex scopes on Nutz and a few to friends and none have had any problem. I would jump out of a plane a let my life depend on my optic. Never had a problem with any of em. My razors and psts have been cranked up,down left and right literally thousands of times and always track as theyre suppose too. Every top CRPS production class winners have used Diamond back tacticals that im aware of in 2019. Steve Barks First, Tony Norman Second and Scot Harrison Third. Im not sure about 2020 but willing to wager they were there again. Maybe there are idiots that shouldnt own firearms or riflescopes. Fake Leupolds dont make the real ones bad but idiots that have never owned a Vortex and bad mouth them dont make them bad either. Best bang for the buck and underpriced for what you get!!

I try my best to stay away from any scope made in China whether its vortex, bushnell, or whatever.

Another moron band wagon jumper. What scopes do you actually own. Yeah Im close enough to prove what I own! Are you and can you actually prove what Vortex scope youve owned and what problem you had. Receipt or correspondence with Vortex and their disatisfactory service. DIDNT THINK SO blahblahblah
