When selling gun stuff locally, where do you meet the buyer?

Just started thinking about this. When I sell anything else, I usually meet people at a Tim Hortons or something.

What do you do when you want to sell a firearm or ammunition locally?
I don't really want to let strangers come to my house and know where some guns are located, see the motorcycle in my garage or the computers and large TV in my living room.

At the same time, any potential buyer would probably want to check out the firearm -- but you can't exactly do that in a Tim's or McDonald's parking lot without attracting the wrong kind of attention.

So if you buy or sell anything firearm related locally and face to face, where do you meet up to do the deal?

Parking lot or at the range if they request test firing, absolutely not at home. I don't even use a land line number with them or tell them the community I live.

however gun ranges are far in between and some have limitations on guests, so not always possible

I have never requested a test firing, or have been asked to do a test fire. I would say no, unless we were members at the same range

But theres the catch. If I asked someone if I could test fire and they flat out said no, it would get me thinking. I understand your range statement, I'm lucky enough to have a DNR range 15 minutes away for non restricted.
