When the Wishbook got banned... H&K 1988

Ahhh the good ol days. I miss going to Ontario Sporting Supplies at Highway 7 & Jane and caressing the H&Ks. I was young and had no money at that time, or some of them would be locked in my safe (Liberal "on the streets") right now.

I have to send the H&K 91/bear photo over to Nathalie. Looks like we have another hybrid assault weapon/hunting rifle they don't know about yet. :D

Yeah that was the golden age. Love that PSG1.

Lucky enough to have had the P9S, P7 and VP70. Kept a P7M8. Wish I kept the others.

The two legacy pistols I have left is a P9 Sport and a M13, don’t know why I was talked into letting an unfired M8 go. Also a mint HK 4 that I regret selling when they were registered as restricted in the 80’s:( Would have had 12.6 status for thirty years, not that it matters now I suppose. The newer USP versions are nice but they don’t ooze the 70’s cool.

If it helps, they sure were not shooters. But interesting concept and origin. Regret selling mine.

I agree, would be nice to have one with the butt stock. Another oddity from yesteryear that would be nice in the collection would be a Steyr GB. I remember one for sale mid 80’s guy at the range had one with a few magazines, (18 rounders), I think he wanted $500 back then, but my rent was $200. He wouldn’t do layaway lol.

At least those are 2 beauties that you kept John, and you probably didn't need both M8 and M13.

I feel you on the HK4. A few of us have big regret stories that resulted in not getting the 12.6.

Yes that was cool for sure. The Benelli B76 was another interesting one from that time
