When will I be able to buy the 6.8 western?

That is because some of us do not give a dam about how big a set of antlers is to brag over .
All I see is belt buckles, screwdriver handles and knives slabs when i see a set if antlers, regardless of the size!:p

I have to admit taking a big one or two in my day...never scored them though.
As far as calling Dink Buck's... that seems a touch salty... even disrespecting to the animal
I'm of the opinion that if the challenge seems to be fading... I'll just dial back on the Hardware a touch.
Antlers make thin soup. Big bucks can be awful tough too.

;)Good points. I've taken a few over the years that were wearing decent bone. In almost all cases, it was more a happening of chance and not an effort to that end. A:) deep freeze hunter as my Daughter once commented. My favorite Moose is still a spike bull, ;)for the 'deep freeze' and as table fare. Decent body size and good eating:d.

Some hunters love the challenge and to prolong their hunting season to hunt a big buck. To hunt on opening day, shoot a small buck and call it a season...........no thanks! I prefer to hunt all season without tagging, than to shoot a dink buck within the first week of the hunting season.

You are assuming a lot, one that I hunt on every opening day, and other that I shoot the first buck I see.
I also have never considered a deer that was tagged a dink, it tends to disrespect the hunter and the animal.
I shoot a lot of does as well as does my hunting partner, it is one reason we have a healthy deer population where I hunt with a stable buck/doe ratio.

With you on this sentiment wholeheartedly...didn't even tag one out last season. Still had a great time.
it's about the journey... not the destination.

Well don't assume that some hunters shoot trophy animals to have bragging rights. I have no problem hunters killing subordinate bucks, does or fawns, go for it! It appears that your a hypocrite, to be proud, talk about, brag and display your firearms with photographs on this forum, and probably others. However different if someone is a trophy hunter. You may lack the patience and skill to pursue a mature animal, no need to give personal insults. :slap::slap::slap:

I think the bone-of-contention had to do with the term 'Dink Buck' actually. What I found off putting as well in truth. Also like anything below your standards is a lesser animal? Just how I read it.
As far as the Ad-hoc stuff... I think we all do it too much... myself included.
Like the Ad-hoc behaviour whilst saying someone was Ad-hoc to oneself... kinda like 'The Pot Calling the Kettle black' no?
Burn me down if you wish...your call totally.
Just an observation is all.

Hardly a hypocrite, but I resent the insinuations of not being as good a hunter as some because I don't target big antlered deer you know about key nothing about how much patience I have when it comes to hitting so shut it!

Your a hypocrite! Shoot what you want, dink buck, doe or fawn, I really don't care. But don't start about bragging rights with trophy hunters. If you lack the desire to hunt mature bucks, you probably lack the skill. Continue on with your leisurely walk in the outdoors, consumed with your eccentric attire; you do your thing, and remain silent regarding trophy hunters.:slap:

Hell, talk about hypocrites! The bragging of firearms from minute to minute, expensive European, custom this, custom that; but mention trophy hunting, well a bunch of split-tail liberal pussies chime in, including yourself. Don't respond unless you man-up.:slap:

I'm in a good place now...don't feel like p*ssing all over one another. Lash out as you see fit. I have no expensive rifles LoL, no real custom one's either... don't claim to be a good hunter for the most part neither.
Ad-hoc behavior means you are losing the debate IMO ( Psst Google it... that was a teensy bit Ad-hoc on my part :nest: )
Split tail liberal pussies huh? The squalling of draw-works brakes from the Drilling Rig outside my work window might suggest otherwise.
But hey; you be you. You are killing it!
