Has anybody already phoned and asked them this question? I'm posting this question Friday night @ midnight so Marstars isn't taking any phone calls right now. :D

I need a compact AO scope for my rimfire and I'd like to know when they'll be getting more of these instock:

Accushot Compact 3-12x44mm 30mm Tube w. Mil-Dot Reticle & sun shade

Oversized 30mm main tube for increased light transmission and w/e adjustment (more than 30 MOA adj. capability in each direction). Requires 30mm scope rings. Includes sun shade.

Thanks DM - I didn't realize that Frontier Taxidermy carried the Leapers line. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if the $150 price on the 1.5x-6x model is accurate. The Marstars model was only $109 for the 3x-12x, but if they're aren't getting more in before summers over then I'll think about the $150 model.

I was browsing Marstars site for other accessories... jeebus - they seem to be sold outta everything!

I often wonder who buys all that crap.....save up a couple of months and get a decent piece of glass for you gun.

You'll never regret paying for quality optics....

Bushnell 3200 series are real decent for the price...and they aren't that pricey to begin with.

Bushnell 3200 = too heavy and too long.

I have a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x 40mm, a Leapers 4x 20mm, and a Fitco 6-24x 52mm scope. All three of them work well provided you stay within their limits.

The 4200 has crappy eye relief for a high recoiling rifle, but really decent optics - simply too big and heavy for my .22LR though. My Leapers 4x has crystal clear optics, but it lacks a sunshade and it's parallax is fixed at 100 yards. It might fall apart under recoil, but that isn't a concern on my .22LR. The Fitco scope has the worst optics and it's even heavier than the Bushnell, but if you stay under 16x magnification it's quite servicable. Again, I wouldn't trust the Fitco on a rifle with recoil.

Having installed and sold many Leapers scopes... I would say that it is not worth the investment, no matter how minimal.

I have seen them fail with as little as 5 shots out of a .223. I have even seen them defective while still new in the box.

When you get it, and it falls apart before your eyes, you will call Marstar and request a new one. It's not worth the trouble.

The Bushnell 3200 line are indeed worth the minimal upgrade in cost.
