When will the FAL returneth?

Well , i have a thought on that , again just a thought . What if we made up a petition to take either the fn fal or a few firearms off the prohib list based on historical significance , one person writes it up *i have a few but i suck at letter writing* . then each person signs it and sends in the exact same print off .

If he gets a bag or 2 bags full and finds taking the FN FAL off the list would get even more votes in addition to the registry , hell it might just work ..

Unfortunately i was born with a rather sunny disposition .

Me too, and it will most likely fail horribly, but its always worth a shot.

I can write a decent letter if I have things in order, but I don't know enough about the events that transpired from the 70's to the 90's to do much good in this case. I would definitely like to see the FAL de-prohib.

We just need to think of some good arguments for it.

What do we base an argument on? Where does one start?

Thats the hard part, will think about it and try to figure out.

I know this may seem silly to most people, but hell, it can never hurt.

we won't get anywhere until the 'safe storage" part gets changed- specifically, the part that confines the fn et al ( 12(3), 12( 4) and 12(5) ) long rifles to the safe and become UNRESTRICTED- IN OTHER WORDS, WRITE PM HARPER AND DEMAND your PROHIBITED FOR NO GOOD REASON RIFLE be RECLASSIFIED AS A HUNTING FIREARM- then those who don't have one need to write him and and ask him WHY they can't have one, and spout age discrimination, equal treatment under the law, and probably something to do with freedom

I doubt it, FAL's are pretty expensive no?

I paid $400 for my L1A1 from P&D. :D

Before that one, I paid $200 for my first one from Century. :D:D

If The FAL was taken off the list first thing tomorrow morning (12:00) yes, the price of the FAL would be very high, because their would be a pretty small amount, with HUGE demand so the prices will be around the 2K mark at least.

However, once the importers track down surplus rifles, and import them, the price will drop down pretty low, maybe to near M-305 levels .It all depends on how many we are available, which should be a decent amount, not SKS amounts but a fair amount, at least from what I can tell.

If marstar does in fact have the rifles I remember hearing about, it would only be a matter of a few months before they enter the market.

But I am not an importer, retailer, exporter, military analyst, or whatever so take my info as what it is, Internet grade Info.

At $600 for a good condition, non restricted FAL, I would defiantly buy one.
