When Will the new Henry be Available in Canada?

Cool! Henry's answer to the BLR... I appreciate Henry quality and customer service, so I am interested to hear actual reviews on this rifle.

Not a huge fan of the name or the lack of irons.

Price puts it in direct competition with the BLR; I prefer the oil finished stock on this model and it does appear to be a bit better looking.

I'm a BLR fan; not sure how I feel about this one...

Cool to see Henry branching out; hope they bring us some lever actions based on super magnum pistol cartridges...

I would like to handle one. The lever looks nicer than the BLR. I wonder if it has been painted aluminum receiver like the BLR or real steel.

Looks a bit better than the BLR.
Point by point they are very much in competition for the same dollar.
What I've read the trigger doesn't cycle with the lever, the receiver is alloy and here's the rumour; it's easier to take apart and reassemble.
Accuracy, durability, fit and feel all seems to be a question mark at the moment.
One thing for sure though is its not a take down so my money is safe (for now).

I will be honest...... The lever action is a nostalgia rifle..... It is the least reliable of all actions, they are #####y mechanically, and prone to failure.....

This rifle is marketed as being "as accurate as a bolt"....... It is also as heavy if not heavier than a bolt...... So I fail to see the appeal.....

Don't get me wrong, I have a pre 64 win in my collection, because they are legendary, and I can appreciate that..... The one I own almost never gets shot and has worn bluing and a few Knicks and scrapes as a heritage rifle should...... And that's why I have it...

But I fail to see the appeal of a rifle in another action that is "trying to be a bolt"..... I can cycle a bolt as fast as anyone can cycle a lever.......

The appeal of a lever is the easy carry, nice balance with rounds in the tube, straight profile and usable iron sights...... This rifle has none of those attributes.....

If you like it, good for you..... and fill your boots.... But I don't see the appeal personally....
