I can shoot mine at West Edmonton Mall. Yup you guessed it. Indoor range approved for restricted firearms.

OP call 1-800-731-4000, all your questions will be answered and you will get real answers instead of having to filter through our BS. They can also set you up with an ATT to take it to the range.
Sometimes it's just better to pick up your phone and call the people that hold the rule book instead of looking for answers on a forum.

You can legally shoot your handgun wherever you get an ATT to, as long as it's already safe to discharge a weapon there.

Got an ATT to the woods, or the sandpit? Well, it's legal to shoot your pistol there.


Thing is though, you're only gonna get an ATT to the Range, so that's the only place you can legally shoot them for now.

Does anyone else find it odd that the OP has been a member since the forums' inception, has a trader-rating and over 500 posts, but doesn't know (or cant figure out where to find out) about Laws regarding discharging firearms regardless if they're restricted or not ???



Instead of asking the question on the internet, why didn't you just call "the horses' mouth" (ie: the CFO) ?

As I said in the OP I did try some searching to no avail.

Sometimes some of the people on here are very knowledgable about the legislation and actually know more than people who are supposed to know the law.

When you pick up the phone and call some "official" you often get what ever they choose to tell you on that day and it is nice to have some knowledge to discuss the issue with them.

The thread has got somewhat side tracked with talk of setting p private ranges and such.

The OP was are there circumstances where I could take a restricted gun to a location and shoot a few shots? The examples were to someone who repairs guns or to show and demonstrate to a potential buyer.
