Where are 6.5x55 AI Dies in Canada?

I don't think the AI version is a regularaly stocked item, but Pro-line shooters in Calgary got in a set of 22 k-hornet dies for me. It depends on what RCBS group it is in, the group that the k-hornet is in is typically stocked at the distributer level so it only took a couple of weeks to get in.

Why buy from Canada? Dies aren't a controlled item and can be exported without any special paperwork. Cabela's ships some dies to Canada, but not others (for some reason). Lock stock and barrel ships to Canada as well as mid south shooters supply. And Grafs. Actually, check Grafs first - they usually have an assortment of hard to find dies.

Oneman - I have a 07 RCBS catalog and I don't see 6.6x55 Ack listed. My Sinclairs doesn't Ackley's either in Redding or Wilson. They do show the 6.5 Grendel but I'm not sure how close that is to the 6.5x55. I would phone Sinclairs at 1-260-493-1858 and talk to them. They are great to deal with and know their stuff. There is no reason to think you have to buy your dies only in Canada. I buy all mine from Sinclairs and given a choice I would buy Redding. They are in Indiana.

I load this caliber and 260 rem Improved without a full length sizer. I use both a Lee collet neck sizer and a Redding bushing die.

If you are looking for more power and access to dies, the 6.5-284 would be a better choice. About the same power as the 6.5x55I and Redding will sell you a necksizer bushing die and a body size die. I use the full length only about every 5th loading. This caliber is becoming very popular intargt shooting circles.

Sinclair ship to canada . I got a FL die from them today.

Use H1000 and Winchester or CCI primers.
