Where are all the m14 UTG rails?

I just looked for one myself and I don't think they make them anymore. Everywhere that had them shows out of stock and the Leapers site doesn't even list information on them anymore.

Here's the answer for you:

Hello, MiniMe,

Thank you for writing to us. We appreciate your interest in our product. Yes, MNT-TM14TR is retired. All of our current production items are listed on www.leapers.com.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

Best Regards,

Joy Xu

So if you find one, buy it because they won't get anymore in stock.

Were those rails any good? I mean, If I mount one only for paper shooting at the range say 15/20 times a year @ 60 rounds per visit, will it take it? Do they hold 0 or just dance around the barrel? They certainly will make an M305 look a little ###ier, even if they don't provide much functionality besides that. I may want to look for one also, if they last more than a year of paper punching. ;)

I've run them a couple of times here and there and they are very solid.

I just sold a couple as I had way too much stuff floating around the gun room. Good thing I still have one left - I guess I'll cherish it now!;)

I see that I picked up one of these just in time, as they were on sale at Opsgear sometime last summer or fall. Now that I've finally sourced a Bushnell TRS red dot a couple of days ago, I'm hoping to mount it onto my short rifle.

I suppose that with the M1As in the US market costing as much as they do, and the Sprinfield Scout already coming with an LER mount that the market for these is limited mostly to Canada and perhaps New Zealand. I'm glad to hear that others have had good experiences with theirs and hope that a bunch of them still pop up in some warehouse for those who've missed out on them.
