I hardly see any Remington 1100 shotguns show up in the EE.

And I am wondering why that is the case ...,

With over 4 million produced one would think the used marked should be full of them ....

So ... are they all broken and not worth selling .... or are people still using them and holding on to them?

Im seeing a trend at our club…guys are buying a second Rem1100 for backup and even a third one for ‘parts just in case’. This may continue until the supply of parts materializes. I think Im up to 7 now so I might be part of the problem also. lol

You might as well keep buying all you can for parts because it is a huge dream to think parts are ever coming back to the market...

I have been waiting for the 20ga to come back to build a tactical style rig for my wife. It's been a while since I bothered looking because I doubt they are coming back. I did notice the used market seemed pretty healthy when I was looking. Wasn't that long ago...

Is this the reason why there are no 1100s showing up in the EE .... ????

Well sir, we had access to a high quality gun at affordable prices. This is the modern gun community, we don't do that. We screech "free market" and #### over our fellow gun owners.

The 1100 was a fine gun. Serviced a few in my day. Usually not much required. Cleaning and the odd 'seal', occasional broken extractor or firing pin. All in all a pretty reliable gun. Not good if parts are no longer available though.
Great gun for the average shooter not so much for a high round count competition shooter they needed dozens of parts to keep operating. But most shoot them well and at the price point were a bargan. I have more than a few and still use them on a regular basis.
