So yesterday at the gun show in Brandon MB, I was at Wolverines booth checking out their Hks and I overheard a pair of gentleman talking about the Glocks. One of them said that they were no good anymore since they are manufactured in the USA. This confused me as I swore that my 3 Glocks were stamped Austra. Sure enough when I got home I double checked and they are all stamped Austria. I used my google-fu a bit but came up with no difinitive answer. All I could properly ID was that there are USA made Glocks available but they are stamped as such. Anybody care to chime in and give everyone the low down as to where these are made?

I'm 100% positive if it's stamped Austria on the side, it's made in Austria, but I've read claims that the frames are made here and there and the slides aren't finished in Austria, blah blah blah, you get the gist of it.

I believe still Austria but some are made in the USA now, but in limited #s.

All so far made in Austria, what you see on the web stamped USA were never for sale, but some “lets make a deal” samples, that will go against EU trades policy. I have the link somewhere around, will post as soon as i find it.

My Gen4 Glock 17 is made in One Hung Low, China. I think my #### is gonna fall off! :D Sorry, I could not resist.

Even if my Glock is made in the USA, it still shoots better than I can hold it. That will work for me.

Cheers,
Barney

Even if Glocks were made in the US, I'd still like to know why they are "no good anymore". Sure there was the Gen 4 spring 'much ado about nothing', but other than that, I'm drawing a blank...

Firearms for Federal service generally must be manufactured in the USA. Many US police forces have "buy USA" procurement procedure. If GLOCK was to access the large US law enforcement market, they needed to manufacture the majority of parts and Assemble in the USA

Tennifer is the hardening, not the superficial finish.

I do say that the feel and look of my Gen4 sucks compared to my Gen3's. Something changed.

x2...so much for Glock Perfection. Problems with the new Gen 4 finish, then the RSA, next the ejector and now the dipped extractor. It never ends.
