Where are the gophers in saskatchewan???

well, right about now they are hard to find!:D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Look for pasture land, also, if you ask arround come spring, you will likely find someone who can put you on to a farmer or rancher who is having problems with the cute little guys. Scout arround a little and you will likely find some on your own. Ask the landowner first, and treat him with respect and you will be OK.

I've gotta find something around kelowna. I'd love to go pop some hogs this summer. Hopefully I can do it w/o the cops arresting and giving me a cavity search on my driveway when I get home.

Lots of gophers in SW Sask. Bengough, Rockglen, over by Ceylon, Up by Monmartre. Lotsa places, just gotta know the right people and you will be able to shoot for days!!!

I gotta find then around Edmonton come this spring, lol
last year there was still bits of snow when we got the first shootings in. 22-250 turns the snow red fyi.

We used to trap em with "0"s then smack with the broken hockey stick. Hit the winter plant first in the spring they will still be lazy from sleep. Mid april with the dump you got.

I call BS on that for sure! <vbg> Either that or you missed one pregnant female because they sure are not on the endangered species list around here now.

"mommy look at that cute little fuzzy ***BANG***..... OMG Mommy that gopher just turned inside out"

lol
Where LEGALLY close to edmonton is a good way to go for best results?

Close to Edmonton I would try around Beaumont, 15 minutes south of Millwoods straight down 50th street..... in the '80's the farmers were more than happy to let us shoot all the gophers we could..

Out east of edmonton just past tofield there are miles and miles of flat land with the furry little buggers running around. pull into a farmers yard and ask if they have any gohpers that you could shoot.. if they dont they usually will tell you who does. just dont show up wearing camo gear.

Now, how about BC?
Or will I have to plan a "big game gopher safari hunt" in Alberta?
My firearms tend to cater to target/varmint shooting. I'd like to go smack some gophers/prairie dogs etc around.

Any place in BC?
