I was just thinking about all the different firearms manufacturers around the world and all the different countries our guns come from.

I have guns from......

Belgium (1977 Browning Hi-Power)
USA (Browning Buck Mark, Ruger 10/22 and a S&W 686)
Czech Republic (CZ 75)
Slovakia (Grand Power in 9 and .22)
China (DA P762)
Portugal (2004 Browning Hi Power)......sort of ;)

I guess I have a ways to go....still could add Italy,Germany,Austria,Turkey,Switzerland,Israel and Russia that I can think of right off the bat. it's a shame Canada isn't on that list.

What countries do you have in your collection?

Whoops......just thought of a bunch more....

Brazil (Taurus), Argentina (FM), Hungary (FEG), Serbia? (Zastava made there?)

I'd need a bigger safe for a "world collection";)

USA,CANADA,RUSSIA,SERBIA,POLAND,HUNGARY,TURKEY,SWITZERLAND, SWEDEN,GERMANY,AUSTRIA, PHILIPPINES, ITALY,china....
Think that's all of em.

What? No one owns Webleys? Add the UK to the mix.

How does one categorize a Browning? Weren't those things made in Japan at one point in time?

Pretty simple... the japan made are stating Browning-Miroku or Browning by Miroku (excellent finish and quality by the way). If the firearm only states Browning ist most likely Belgium. Also as far as I know Japan made Brownings were all long guns, no pistols.(Could be wrong on the last statement)

I think you are correct....Japanese Browning's are long guns only.

In no particular order:
USA
Belgium
Hungary
Poland
Sweden
At one time, I've also owned Canadian made hardware....
