Hey all,

Haven't had a chance to search the site yet, but can anyone tell me where i can buy a DE .50 cal ... new. Any information would be greatly appreciated .Thanks!!

Backcountry sporting goods has a new blued model sitting on thier display case right now, store is located in fort st john, just use canada411.com for phone info.

I have... no where close to a shotgun in terms of recoil.
Actually a .44mag revolver has more felt recoil than the .50AE DE.

A better question you should be asking is "Where can I buy .50AE?"

hehehe
Good luck!

50AE is cool and fun to shoot, but I'd highly suggest the .44 Magnum version because, if you do not reload, ammunition is about the third or quarter of .50AE price, and if you do reload, components are much easier to acquire, cheaper, and you have more choice. Many .50AE Desert Eagles are safe queens because it costs an arm to shoot.

+1 on the .44mag,

I've shot a .50ae and .44mag DE back to back and .50 had maybe 5-10% more recoil at most.

if you actually plan to shot it got one in .44mag; considering the cost difference .50 is not worth it IMO.

I'd definitely go .44mag in DE as well if it wasn't apparent in my previous post :)
At least you'll be able to shoot it.

Trust me... I bought a .45GAP when they first came out; it's not fun having a gun that you can't buy ammo for.

I also had a .357SIG and that was a pain to find ammo for at times.

.50AE?? I don't even want to imagin shopping around for that.

Agreed, Deagles are big, heavy gas operated pistols...my S&W 29 kicks harder than a .50 Deagle.

I would also agree that a series XIX Deagle in .44 is a better purchase, and upgradeable to 50AE if you are so inclined...

hehehe... I was using your S&W in .44mag as reference Laniru ;)
Fun gun.

I shot an older gents .50AE at PoCo several weeks ago and I was expecting it to wack me in the head with crazy-recoil... no where close :) (felt like a .40s&w)

IF money is no object get the 50 AE...if you want a powerful semi-auto that is cheaper on the pocket book The Shooting Edge in Calgary has access to Witness 10mm Auto for $549 CAD.

10mm Auto is not in the 50 AE or 44 Magnum level but it won't break your your bank and is equal to the 357 Magnum in power so not a weakling cartridge either.

What is the price for 10mm? Per 50 round box.

These are prices for American Eagle Ammo(Federal) from Russells in Calgary.

357 Magnum 19.99/50

10mm Auto 21.99/50

44 Magnum 26.99/50

As you can see almost as cheap as 357 Mag and cheaper than 44 mag.

50 AE is 22.99 USD for 20 rounds at Midway USA thats 26.45 CAD for 20 But I doubt you will find them for that price in Canada...probably $ 30/20 rounds.

Wild West likely stocks it but I be afraid to ask the price:eek:
