I just got a m44 that has a big crack in the neck of the stock . Can I get a new stock reasonably or how would a person repair this . Sorry can't post pictures

Wood glue is usually enough. If you don't have a lot of experience with woodwork, bring it to a gunsmith and they can do it for you.

It's a big gap with a crack going into a critical place , how would I get wood glue where it is needed without drilling into it were my thoughts . I thought maybe screws with devcon covering screw head and threads

Ah, well if it needs to be stabilized with a crossbolt I would for sure get it done by a professional.

I'm a do it yourself kind of guy all the time.
Post some pics! I've filled a few cracks in my day already ;)
We may be able to help if you put some good quality images of the crack and where it is.
Gun smiths are overpriced and the wait times in my area are beyond ridiculous.

Hey Keith, if you want, contact me via PM and I'll give you my e-mail address. You can send me a picture, I'll tell you what I think. I've repaired quite a few stocks.
