Where Can I Buy An M14...

Picked mine up at Canadian Tire yesterday for 549.00 with two 5 round mags. Got two 5/20 mags for 42.00 each as well. They also have the camo one in but its 649.00.
 
i was handling one in calgary( macleod tr store) yesterday at 529 - black of course- didn't ask about spare mags etc- with a few of these , it won't hurt so much when my isralis head to the shredder

maybe i know a little more about it than you do- 1 i asked if they had any of those "chinese m14s" in, not the 305- counter monkeys just want to get rid of you- the guy that was manning the counter was in his 60's -most counter monkeys wouldn't know an m14 from a hammer
2 i asked about a store to store transfer if they were out of stock- no problem unless there were none in the system
3 the "seal team " t-shirt didn't hurt
4 i looked like i knew what i was talking about- i'm in my middle 50's- told him exactly where it was in the rack , how he could tell what it was, and then did a bit of drill at the counter- i could see he was impressed all to sh*t
i happen to know about half the staff over there- right from george the "greeter" to jeff, the store manager
there's a "perception" out there that all the under 30's crowd wants to do is handle the guns-ie they're "tire kickers" - that's why counter monkeys want tp get rid of them asap and get back to doing wahtever- chatting up the girls in hardware, stocking shelves, going for coffee, etc

Hey, it was the 'syn' model. They had 10 in black and 5 in camo as of friday morning. From what they told me they ordered in 50 but they were shipped to a Calgary store first so they only ended up with 15. I bought the black model but got to see the camo to. Its not bad. Kind of has a WW2 Marines look to it.

I'm 50+ and know who "George the "greeter" is. Am also familiar with the 60sh person that manages the sporting goods dep there. The "counter monkey" as you call him called the manager in my presense and came back with the answer that the order had been cancelled.

Not looking for a rifle, just annoyed with the deciet. Will check it out Monday.

remember it can move over the weekend- if you can't get your hands on one wait a few weeks and they'll show up on the ee at an IMPROVED PRICE- IN the seller's favour-

This is great news for our sport. It is also nice to see that no one dealer has a lock on supply and that a certain amount of reasonable supply-and-demand-capitalism-type-like-stuff setting the prices.

I hate, hate, HATE it when one dealer claims that "these are the only ones, you better buy one from me before they're gone!" or other such nonsense.

Looks like the Chinese M14 supply is alive and well. And they can be had for as low as $516 at Milarm.
