...NIB with a Synthetic Stock? No EE suggestions please. I'd like to buy from a dealer. I heard that Canadian Tire in Calgary has/had a "special edition" M14s/M305 with a synthetic stock straight from Norinco. Is that true? Does any one know the name of that store or know where I can get one with a synthetic stock? Thanks for any help. If you can post name of store and phone number, that would be great.

I spoke to the CT staff in Calgary on Monday. They cancelled their order and don't expect any. Claimed the CT store in Red Deer had a few in stock or could special order one in if needed.

It is not the only reason to ditch ontario for Alberta. I have lived in both. Ontario is not for me.

Talked to the guy that manages the firearms here at the Red Deer CT and he said they expect them in sometime in August. They are in Vancouver now but they were held back as one was sent to Ottawa to be looked at. He said they'll have both a black stock and a camo stock and be around $450.
They are all pre-sold as far as I know. Only the Yorkton store and the Thunder Bay Canadian Tire have some now.

"Les amants de la nature", in Québec City (http://www.lesamantsdelanature.com/), has an M305 for sale right now. Just went there during my lunch hour. Looked pretty sweet, although I'm not quite the connaisseur on those types of rifles. Didn't take notice of the price...it was 500$-something.
Edit: I saw it at "ProPac" in Quebec City. Don't know why I said les amants...Anyways, looked like quite a rifle!
