Where Can I find a Chaparral model 1873 38-40 rifle in Canada

Can anyone out there tell me where I can purchase a Chaparral model 1873 rifle in 38-40 caliber? I can find the other calibers but not the 38-40. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

The short answer is nowhere. Chapparal Arms only makes their 1873 in 45 Long Colt, 38 Special or 357 Magnum. The only modern reproductions I have seen in 38-40 were made by Uberti and that was some time ago. You might be able to get one on special order through Cimarron Firearms in the states. Good luck.

I went on to the Chapparal Arms website and they list a 38-40 rifle being made I just can't find one.

As far as I know, Marstar is the only Chaparral importer in Canada - that's where Doc Rowland gets his. Marstar just added the 44-40's about a month or so ago, so maybe the 38-40's will follow shortly.
