OK, I'm racking my brains now for months over getting a new rifle. Wanted one better suited to fast shots in close cover with enough stomp to drop what I'm shooting at, and settled on .45/70, then I saw the SBL in Wholesale Sports' catalogue. Seems Wholesale is having trouble keeping them in stock; they're gone almost as soon as they hit the warehouse. Anyone know any other dealers that can ship to Alberta? I'm a minimum 2 hours away from any dealer that can deal in Marlins (for some strange reason, the local outfit can't get Marlin or Rugers-go figure).

Any help would be appreciated!

One of the sponsored dealers had one listed last week right here in their paid dealer forum.

I can't recall who, but take a minute to go through them and you might get lucky.

My buddy got the one from Wanstalls. The picture does not do it justice, Freaking unbelievable. The guy's at Wanstalls are great to deal with.
If you can not find one up here, Try daves sporting goods in Lynden Washington. He has a export permit, And he is a sponsored dealer here.
I should have never handled that thing, now I want one.

I've been in touch with Wanstall's, Wholesale and the one in Port Perry... Wholesale's response to my question about availability (their website, if you click 'Order' gives a popup claiming it'll take longer to ship.. doesn't say it's not in stock. Click on 'Add to Wish List' and it says it's in stock, so I email them... and asked, if it wasn't available, what kind of timeframe in which it would be in stock. Got a one-line answer; "That item is not in stock"

Wanstall's, on the other hand, took the time not only to email me back saying the one on the website had sold that Saturday, but that he was expecting more in the next couple weeks and I'd be contacted when they came in.. and, since I'm in Alberta, the PST wouldn't apply.

Guess who got the email saying "Yes, please let me know, consider one sold!"?

Great bunch of people at Wanstalls. I live in Chilliwack and didnt even know they existed untill I heard about them here. My buddy phoned them and they said they would hold the SBL untill I could pick it up on Saturday. And It was the same price has wholesale to boot.
