Where can I find a Savage 110 Firing Pin Spring

My neighbour brought a Savage 110 over with a broken firing pin spring...When we looked at the Spring....it had definitely been installed with a broken spring, one of the flattened ends, was in middle of spring, which was in 3 pieces. This was bought new. What's up? Where can I get a replacement? Respectfully Jim
