Where can I find subsonic 22lr that doesnt totally break the bank?

Hoping to push my 22lr game out a bit farther than 100 yards and I hear the subsonics handle those ranges alot better.

I currently can get the remington subsonics. Are those alright? Not looking for 2" groups at 200 just wanna be able to hit some steel.
 
What do you mean by "doesn't break the bank?" If you want decent ammo, you have to pay for it...but it isn't crazy-expensive. Remington .22lr ammo is the top of the sh*t heap in terms of ammo. Dirty, inaccurate in everything I own. I pay about $6.40 for a box of 100 CCI Standard Velocity, and about $0.50 more for CCI Subsonic HP. (both shoot about the same velocity, two of my rifles prefer the HP though) You'll really be lobbing any subsonic ammo out beyond 100 yards...so aim high! :)
 
I haven't been impressed with the Remington Sub-Sonics. Way too many FTF.

CCI Standard Velocity (solids) and CCI Sub-Sonic (hollows) should both be in the $7 per 100 rounds range and are my go-to choice in my weekly league competition. To get measurably better I have to spend 3 times as much.

Edit: looks like great minds think alike. Some of us just type slower.
 
I'm a fan of the Rem Subsonics. I have numerous .22's, and the Rems are the most accurate reasonably-priced ammo in several of them. Never had a problem with cycling of semiauto actions, and decent small-game ammo as well.
 
Wow with the prices! I just bought a box of 50 CCI 32gr Stingers and I think they were close to $6. They ever shoot nice though!!!
 
ok, why is subsonic more exepnsive than standard velocity?

it should have the same case, same primer and same choices in lead weight and style(round or hollow)

the only thing different would be the amount of powder no? and there should be LESS powder in the slower round.
