Rules as to what i can and cant have with a rpal in Canada?

I mean i know some of them but things i was unsure about were suppressors and i know a guy who built a mortar that shoots bean cans and i thought for sure that was a no no but he got it registered.

Anyways in there anywhere on here that i can go look and read up on it?

thanks.

Hello and welcome. This forum is really just for "hellos". You'll get better response to questions like these in the General Firearms Discussion forum, or one of the specialized forums. However, while Canada Firearms Centre is really the authority for letting you know what you can and can't have, my understanding is that there is no way for a private citizen to own a firearms sound suppressor.

see and that is what i thought but i over heard a gun a guy talking one time that he got them in from the US before but now they are holding them at the border. I though he was full of #### but i thought i might be wrong.

Sorry for that i figured it was a newb questions so it would belong in here.

Hi. Have you completed the RPAL course yet?
Suppressors are completely prohibited. Have been since 1935.
A beer/bean can mortar isn't a firearm.

Take the CFSC, CRFSC. Will give you a basic foundation.
Or, you could have a look at the Canadian Firearms Program website. All the basic information about different classes of firearms, weapons, devices is available there.
Any device intended to muffle the report of a firearm is prohibited.
I know of a homemade muzzleloading 3" mortar registered as a firearm. Entered as FRT # 130350.

Yes i have but i dont remember what the OAL of some of the barrels can and cant be.

as for the "beer/bean can mortar isn't a firearm." I believe it was because i was told it had to be registered.
