Where can I get a swivel stud for my Savage 99?

I'm looking for a compatible swivel stud that will allow me to replace the original fore-end swivel of my Savage 99, without any modifications.

I have a great Harris Bipod that was on another firearm that I sold so would love to put it on my Savage for target shooting.

GrovTec claims to make a compatible stud, but I'm not sure if the thread will be the same.

Go to 24hourcampfire.com. They have a Savage Collectors' forum. One member, Lightfoot, is a machinist in California. Two of his products are a stud for the Savage 99 forend and a no-drill, no-tap scope mount for early 99's and 1899's. The stud is but ten or twenty bucks. The scope mount is about $200.00 sans rings. I have two mounts and one stud. Great products from a trustworthy guy who works fast. I would fully recommend this gent for any problems with 99's; he's a guru.
