Hey guys. I have an old Daisy 622x.

Unfortunately it won't hold air anymore. If I screw in a CO2 bulb, it will leak the bulb pretty much 100% in a span of 5 seconds or so.

The little O-ring looks ok, I think something inside the pistol is not working anymore.

The sad thing is that it has very little use.

I'm lucky if I got to shoot more than 20 pellets with it.

And Daisy hasn't made this model since like 2005.

I found it today doing some spring cleaning lol. Where can I get it looked at? I'm in Toronto, Ontario.

Give Daisy a call - they're friendly enough, and would be able to direct you to any authorized service centres. If nothing, they may be able to send you a parts diagram and list, and you can select the most likely parts to order.

As you suggested if the leak isn't at the CO2 O-Ring (or brass fitting), it's probably at the valve. There aren't many parts involved in the air system on a CO2 gun. (Something to attach to the source, the valve opened by a hit from the firing mechanism, and a tube between them). You might find an O-Ring at the valve that can be replaced locally (check plumbing stores based on size, not necessarily a Daisy part), or a brass seal that you might be able to lap smooth, or just replace the valve.

I'd disassemble the pistol and see what all is involved - you might even be able to install a CO2 while the gun is apart, and find the actual leak.

Try putting a bit of oil on the tip of the CO2 cartridge before inserting it. You want to get the oil inside the valve.
Pierce the cartridge and quickly dry fire the gun (unloaded of course) trying to get the oil up inside before the cartridge empties.
Non detergent motor oil or Automatic Transmission Fluid will work.
Not guaranteed to fix the problem, but it's free other than the CO2.

Does the CO2 come out the barrel or from the tip of the cartridge?
