I have looked in many places for this firearm and no one seems to have any.

It's even hard to find other Glock's in stock these days. Are we seeing a Glock variety shortage?

Better head for the hills! :D

You will never see a Glock 30SF in Canada, it would be considered a prohibited handgun due to barrel length and cannot be imported.

It was my understanding that the SF was only offered in the G21, I always wanted a G20SF, but to no avail.....

G30sf is out earlier this year, and G20sf, if it's not already out is coming very shortly.
G30sf, would require an importer to put a pinocchio barrel on it stateside, before bringing it in. But that'd be the only hangup.

Why would you want a G30SF? Of all the pistols in Glocks lineup, the G30 is the one with the most hiccups and stoppages. It is notorious for jamming, do a quick search and the problems associated with the 30, many Glock huys don't even like this model, including me, for the reasons listed above.

This was only a problem due to a certain batch of them under a specific serial number starting with L. Other than those few, they are every bit as reliable as any other Glock.

I bought the Glock Autopistols 2009 annual magazine last summer and they released a 20SF and a 29SF in 10mm Auto. They're out in the US but I don't know about here. Glock now has 21SF, 30SF, 21SF, and 29SF pistols. Questar is the best bet if you want a Glock that is in the US but you can only get the smaller Glock models with a longer barrel installed.

glock 19

Same with all those Glock 19's, eh?

you can get glock 19's at Questar. they change the barrels and convert them to restricted from prohibited. They put lone wolf barrels into them to make the 106mm length. But the price is quite high. $999.99 plus 8-10 weeks delivery.

Nawww...The G30 is a super popular carry gun in the US. There are guys who would rather give up a testicle than their G30.:D I've been on GT and GP for years now and have seen nothing but praise for the original model. That said I don't own one myself so that is all I have to go on.

The jamming issue is limited to a specific run of 29sf and 30sf guns. It is due to a bad batch of trigger transfer bars. They are too high and slow the slide too much as it returns to battery, hence the jamming. It is either that or limp wristing in some cases. The compact Glocks aren't too tolerant of that.

Glock is replacing the affected trigger transfer bars with very little fanfare. This is par for the course for Glock. They never admit when the have issues. It is a simple fix and I for one would not even take it into account if I was in the market for one.

I think you're thinking of either the Glock 36 or the Glock 30sf. Some earlier GLock 36's had some reliability problems and some Glock 30sf have RTB problems. Apparently with the Glock30sf the solution is pretty simple though, you just need to switch out the stock trigger bar. As far as the Glock 30, it is about as reliable as any other Glock.
