A guy just semt me a handfull for free, man i love cgn!
Great. If you load them correctly, you should not have a problem in loading the cartridges into the magazine. If you load 5 and remove the charger by hand then insert the second charger and push the cartridges down into the magazine, you now have two options.
The first one, and the best where you have lots of time and it is easiest on the charger, is to remove the charger by hand as above. However, in a situation where every second counts, and the Hun is on the wire in front of your trench, you simply push the bolt forward, chambering a cartridge and pushing the charger out of the way at the same time.
Due to a shortage of Huns on the local target range, I prefer to remove each charger by hand as I polish and select my chargers for smooth loading and want to keep them in the best condition possible.
As SMELLIE has noted, the use of correct terminology was hammered into you by nasty people with stripes on their arm and the attitude of a Bear with a sore pecker. However, everyone knew exactly what you meant when you said a word. Calling a charger by another name could build up your physical fitness by initating a running trip around the Parade Square with your rifle held over your head. The poor individual who called a SMLE a Lee-Enfield: he participated in the Marathon five laps. Under such conditions, your vocabulary tends to improve rapidly.
Some of us older Farts were trained and used a Vickers Gun a long time ago. I have an American Vickers Gun Manual and also a British one. When you look through the American one, and see the Nomenclature of various parts, you almost say " HUH ????."
