Where did all the enfields go?

Do you really think that people don't buy and sell unregistered guns? There are more unregistered guns than registered in this country and at best half of all gun owners have bothered to get licenses. That is a huge underground of owners and guns outside the system.

Curious... what type of rifle do the Rangers actually use now?

I heard from an older Inuit lad up at LaTuque ( used to call these good folk "Eskimo" back then... geez louise imagine saying that in public now? LOL!) that they tried the FN but actually hated them and wanted their old 303's back.

Anyways... why not buy the new Aussie Lee Enfields and issue them those instead? Modern calibre and everything... I bet Riflechair has an answer for us.

And I'm sure our Rangers would feel a tad nervous carrying our current poodleshooter up where all the big carnivors live.

This is true. I had thought you were looking at unicorns when you were talking about guns not being sold because they are unregistered. Good to know I was wrong.

As far as I have been told, the Rangers still use the No4.
They never were issued the SLR.

There was a guy on here not long ago who is a Ranger, he was looking for some help locating parts for his No4.......I'm sure they are still issued the No4 and like them. Why the Ranger mentioned was having to "scrounge" for parts on his own for DND equipment has me a bit puzzled though?! Is there no Armory on base up there?

More like, no base up there. Expensive to maintain and hard to staff. That is why we have rangers....

Then again, I can't recall the last time we were invaded from up north
