where did that "goodbye TSE" thread go?

Good for you...I'm not expecting to get a smokin'deal on anything I buy, I'm just expecting a fair price. I'm not just a tire kicker, I spend A LOT of money on firearms and accessories, a great deal of it at TSE as well as being a paying member. This is turning into some kind of pissing contest...that is not what I'm trying to get involved in, so I will leave it at that and move on to more enjoyable threads.

Actually I don't think this is degenerating at all. You asked a simple straight question.

Next time you are in, pop over to my office! I'd really like to meet you in person. I want to get to know my members

Wow, I wish I knew you were this open to customers when I was previously considering buying a Swiss Arms rifle new from your shop (2 years ago) and was told by the guy behind the counter to come back and look at it when the place wasn't so busy. I would have come into your office immediatly. Oh well, you did get to sell me some mags and other parts for it and the one I got second hand has your logo on it.

In a few months when I finally have the RPAL forms complete (Im slow) and in license in my possesion I'll be sure to come by TSE to see what you have.

Quite a few of you posts on here have shown me you truely do care about customers, even if some of your previous staff didn't.

I've got to add in that any time I've been in the shooting edge the staff has actually always been quite helpful, albeit it they all seem a bit rushed but what else do you expect when there is 40 people in the store and 5 staff members to help all of them out.

I know TSE's prices tend to be a bit higher than most of the "online" sponsors here but that's business. It's like anything else in the retail marketplace, I can buy a 42" tv from Futureshop for 2000$ or I can buy it from some online retailer for 1500 but take a risk not knowing what the service is going to be like.

By no means am I saying any of the online sponsors here are worse than TSE, I'm just saying whenever you are buying something from the internet you always take the risk of having horrible customer service afterwords because they never have to see you face to face and can simply ignore you.

Like I said, I personally have never had a problem from TSE when going in there but no matter what business you are in... someone is always going to have a problem.

Sorry, but I almost sprayed my screen because I was laughing so hard. I can't believe you used FutureShop as a positive example of customer service!

:D

The third monitor didn't have a stuck pixel and I got them to fire it up in the store (against "policy"), I have no complaints there... that is the advantage of buying local anything regardless of the size of the franchise.

Yes, local can work in some cases, provided you've got a receipt and all of the original packaging and the CS manager isn't having a bad day. All of my experiences with FutureShop have been that they're more than happy to take your money, but extremely not interested in taking the product back for whatever reason.

I find that returning stuff purchased online is really quite easy provided you're buying from a reputable vendor. Of course, as it is with any purchase, Caveat Emptor. Chances are that if they're going to ignore you online, they're going to ignore you in the store too (if they have one).

In the case of purchasing from one of the site sponsors (specifically TSE), I would recommend it wholeheartedly. These guys are not big chains and know what it is to deliver great customer service (for the most part, there's always that 1 exception in 100).

Just my $0.02.

Although at TSE there is no return/exchange policy so it really doesn't matter.
Unlike you're much vaunted badger arms, where if one questions anything or dares to ask about their months old purchase that hasn't been shipped, you get told where go and threatened!!
Oh, well, nice to see Pizdets not kissing ass for a change!

BAsically a guy was pretty cheesed off with things at TSE so rather then talk to a human manager he came on here and voiced his issues. There was some follow up discussion that was very good and interesting BUT the initial poster was off base and did not handle things well either.

Like I've said to you 3 times now, I had 4 good deals with no issues there. Ive had 3 deals with TSE with no issues. I give credit where its due, if you want to call it ass kissing then its fine by me. But here is a thought, there are only about 20-25 or so dealers that have 80% of the products most people want. You piss off enough of them and EE will be your only friend.

A fair price ? you mean dirt cheap dont you? the problem is that JR has a brick and mortar business with liability insurance etc and you expect him to play the race to the bottom game price wise, with guys who work out of their moms basement using a web store, offer no after sales service and do not carry any type of insurance at all. The reason guys are able to sell chicom m4s for cheap is because they work on 5% markups and save on cardboard for shipping by using garbage bags. If someone is cheaper then JR and all you care about is price..... go the frig some where else. My guess is, your bugging JR to drop his price because you are nervous about buying guns that come wrapped in a garbage bag with no after sales service.

I bought one pistol from TSE and some other stuff and my experience was always positive.
I'm usually buying and selling on EE, but I don't mind a little higher prices in exchange for quality service.
I did my re-qualifications there (job-related) and the range is also very nice.
Great place.
Thank You

Yep, good facility for sure, only gripe I have is some days its 10c inside the rifle bay. My wife actually had to leave because she was too cold lol.

TSE is a good shop, and has always treated me fairly while buying more then I can shoot at once from them. Some of their staff has been great over the years, some have been tools. Tell me another shop in Calgary that hasn't had some bad employees in boom time though.

Some of the -30C days we had our rifle bay heating system cranked up to 40C or so... it couldn't really keep up with the sheer airflow of the intake + wickedly cold air, so it still felt like 15 degrees inside (10C with windchill!).

We give refunds and exchanges on a case by case basis. It's not like we'll pretend you don't exist if the gun you bought from us shoots backwards.
