Where did that K98K came from ?

Hi guys,

Just bought this little guy at gun show for target practice but I can't find that crest anywhere in my books. Gun doesn't have any 3rd Reich markings and it doesn't look like anything was grounded off the receiver so I think it's a commercial rifle but I curious where it came from.

Anybody knows ?

We would need to see pictures of the action/barrel out of the stock to see if any proof marks are on the side or under the action/barrel.

Possibly AKAH or FRanconia commercial post war . Need to see the proof marks.

Saw that one also, Frankonia commercial production also came to my mind.

Not sure, because in Germany they stamp the caliber as 8x57JS.
But the crest is definitely for some shooters association.
