I guess the days of the $99.oo mosins are over! Thats what I payed for my last one and it wasn't that long ago. I guess they only have a couple of bazillion left , stored in caves + old mine shafts so they feel the need to stockpile them for another 60 years? Or is it that the price is set by what people are willing to pay? With most of the worlds economy in the dumps , you'd think the prices would stagnate a bit + at least quit rising. I guess I'm just uncontrolably old and grumpy today. My Beatles album had a scratch on it.

Why are you surprised? Did you think the supply would last forever? They went the same place the Finish, Romanian, Hungarian & Polish mosins went, either into collections or destroyed by idiots with hacksaws. Now you pay more & soon there will be nothing left to buy.
