Where do get a 10/22 Take down?

Does anyone know if the recently purchased ones have the crooked rear sight? I know it doesn't make a functional difference but it's the kinda thing that would drive me nuts...
 
Al Flaherty's in Toronto got 6 or 7 about 4 days ago. They sold the last one today. They're not expecting another shipment anytime soon.
 
Hmm. I really wanted one of these, but I just recently picked up a non-takedown 10/22 and reading about some of the QC issues with this thing have scared me off for the time being. I'll wait for a few production runs, I guess to see if the QC picks up or stays a tad sketchy.

...I really hope not because I would love to have one of these some day but I also want to duck the issues commonly reported. I'll be patient for now and claim I'm just being a very prudent saver.
 
Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I stopped into my local gun store and he has a lot of Ruger 10/22's, I believe there was a takedown there, but he has several different models of them. Digital camo, woodlands camo, black/green (maybe pink) synthetic, wood (also has one that appears to be a Boyds Applejack with really good colouring). Check with P-D, I believe I read they just got or are getting some takedowns in. I bought mine there for $350, not sure if thats still the going price.
