Where do I get the Norgon Ambi Mag Release?

$120?! Holy! Add shipping and taxes and you're looking at just shy of $150. You can buy 'em at Brownells for $90. plus $11. shipping and no tax/duty for that amount.

That just adds to my reasons never to shop at that calgary vendor again.

I'll send my money out of the country before buying there.

Don't forget the currency exchange/bank charge which will add about 14% on top of that...still better overall...but you get the idea.

I may go to the paddle design?

Anyone have input on those?

Was also thinking of using the Paddle design bolt catch rather than the BAD LEver.

Anyone with experience with these?

As wicked said, a factory built in ambi lower is the best option, I also have a KAC.
frind some one with a norinco they have a copy of the norgon, not sure what,s happening with Norgon, last I heard they were filing for chapter 11.
Our new ambi, is more of a competition product and is not super lo profile like the norgon.
As for the BAD, is a .... bad... idea..

I cant believe that they want that much for the Norgon lol.....
Sounds like they bought them from Browells and tacked on there markup.

Not totally true, I've been hit with tax and brokerage both times I ordered from Brownells with this exact order :(

That said the Norgon ambi release works pretty good, so if you don't mind paying the high cost I think it's worth it. Either that or get someone to sell you their Norinco one, it's a copy of the Norgon.

I installed one in my DD last year. I tell ya, I sure do miss having one on my other AR. I was excited to learn that S&J made one but not after finding out how it works ie. having to lift the tab up. What's the point? I'm a LH shooter and if I can't just tap my trigger finger on it like the Norgon/Troy/Power Custom etc to release the mag, it ain't much use to me.

Why is it a bad idea? Obviously it's not as good as a true ambi release, but it's cost effective for those not willing to spend that much, simple to install, and effective.

A shooting buddie of mine had one for a while. The extra weight on the bolt catch was often causing his rifle to not lock open on the last round.

We spent a fair amount of time troubleshooting his gas and buffer system for causes of short stroking before we figured out is was the BAD.

Hey Beeson, what are the chances you might come out with a norgon style.
I've been eyeballing your ambi mag, but I really want a low profile version.
From what I've seen so far, norgon is the only one I've seen, other then norc.
