Where do you buy Caldwell G2 chronograph parts in Canada? Read before you laugh...

Too hard that is...

Testing unconventional material projectiles out of a shotgun in the research ballistic testing lab.

Turns out the wad was interfering with the chronograph, so I moved it back to 6 meters... Was working... Better.

Turns out the cylinder shaped projectiles track almost perfectly straight, but when I moved on the to the dome topped ones... Much less so... First shot... BOOM (25gr bullseye, 14.8gram projectile) then heard tink tink tink... the sound of something not right in the other room... I knew what it was...

So, for normal ballistic work, I have Doppler radar, but I was using my back-up for this project as these projectiles are non-metallic.

I should already know this, but since Caldwell doesn't ship to Canada... Where do you buy the parts?

I know Del Selin in Vernon carries some Caldwell stuff, maybe give the shop a call.

Since I only took out one upright, I might just visit Millennium Alloys and see if I can find some similar aluminum tube. I used to go to Del's all the time, but it's been a little while. Thanks,

1/8" steel rods were a good fix for me.

I only use wooden dowels,no damage to the Chrony if you accidently hit one.

Speaking of that, I have a Connex 500 sitting behind my desk... I don't need it that fancy though.

There are two types of chronographs out there - the ones that have been shot and the ones that haven't yet.

I was going to offer you the parts of a caldwell chrony I have, but then realized the g2 is very different.

Thank you, very kind thought. I stopped by the local aluminum store today and picked up ten feet of tubing that I can rebuild the legs a few times if I have to
