Where do you buy grip tape?

If sweaty palms are the issue try drysol or another industrial strength antiperspirant. They are marketed for hyperhydrosis and are over-the-counter.

the best grip tape is the one made for stairs.

most agressive, durable and sticky one I have used

There are different grits at skate shops. Its just adhesive backed sandpaper.

Used it on one of my MX bikes - realy helped but very hard on boots!

I think the stuff I've used is 3M "Safety Walk", intended, as "chemo" has mentioned, for stairs. It has a rubber finish.

Here's the front strap of my S.A. double-stack .45 ACP:

The adhesive is very aggressive and stays put.

BTW, I recently found another use for it when I bought a Ford Ranger- on the underside of the door handles and the rear gate handle. No way my fingers can slip now.

where did you get it from?

I'm not sure, but it may have been from Fraser Valley Building Supplies here in Mission, although when I bought some recently (for its intended purpose) they only had grey, not the black I used on the pistol. Home Depot or Rona should have it.

ps- As I recall, when I put it on the .45 I wrapped the grip with surgical tubing overnight to hold the tape tight on the curved edges. Very useful stuff to have around.

Scateboard store - X2!! One sheet is all you need, about $8 after tax. Cheap, good for more-than-a-few years without coming off the gun and to stay grippy, will outlast you and supply all your buddies for life.
