Hey all, so I'm taking my time trying to find a scope I really want. I've been looking in the vendors websites, and the EE, I'm kind of not finding any real good selections.

EE is a waste of time for the most part, finding painted old scopes for 50 less than new lol.

What I'm looking for is something in the 5-15x range, 40-50 Obj, adjustable paralax, not high end but not junk.

I like some meullers, bushnells, maybe even a low end Leupold.

But what I need to know is where do you shop for scopes??

Thanks.

I've been picking mine up on the EE. Great scopes, like new, cheaper than new.

The trick is, you have to be checking a few times a day once you know what you want, as the best ones at reasonable used prices go quick. It's a ascope, as long as it owrks, I don't care about ring marks or a light rub on it somewhere, and with that in mind, I'm happy paying 50 to 80% of regular price.

Just happens to take a while for the right one to come up.I waited about 2 months to find the 6-24-40 Mildot that I wanted to pup up at a proce I was willing to pay.

:agree:

There are plenty of deals to be had on the EE but you need to be quick. A realistically priced deal will be gone quickly.

Many people malign the EE for the outrageous prices that some are asking but thats because those posts will remain there for many weeks and the real deals are often times gone in minutes.

Check several times a day if you have access to a computer, or if you have a smart phone you can check the EE anytime you want.

Good luck.

The nikon buckmaster may suit you, come in a 4-12 and 6-18 SF, P&D usually has them in stock, some times WSS as well. They come with interchangeable turrets and a sunshade, I have a few of them.
What gun are you putting it on? FS

I would say go to your local gun shop, fiddle with as many scope as you can, find a reticle and magnification that you like, then see what price they offer you. After that, go home, check out what the big box prices are then check out the EE. I like the EE because you're getting stuff that is often like new for less than the retail price and with no tax (if you're buying something that 1000$+ the no tax makes a big difference). If you like your local shop and their price is reasonable then I'd say go with them. If not, then try to save yourself some money that you can spend on ammo.

My two cents.

FAIL! ....... The EE here on CGN is THE best place to buy scopes online here in Canada. Lots of good deals on used scopes plus there are venders here on CGN who would be more than happy to help with a new scope. I can't remember the last time I bought a scope elsewhere. I have everything I need/want in excellent condition and at very good prices.

I think an attitude change coupled with a little time and patience will change your results vastly.

there are good deals on the EE.
-I recommend getting a good idea of what you want prior, then prices.
-Next, possibly establish what trades you might/could be willing to offer. Be clear and have a good idea of what the $ value of these is.
-Post a WTB ad with what you are after AND HOW MUCH YOU ARE LOOKING TO SPEND. -that cuts the 10% above retail BS quick.

you can have good luck on the EE. There are great deals to be had and even better CGNers to deal with.

Unfortunately EE is flooded with all the stale unrealistically price stuff from idiots trying to sell at retail price. Telltale sign is the FIRM PRICE, Not Negotiable rhetoric. These polluting thread makes it hard to find the real deals which always sells in minutes, then is "Please Remove" from smart sellers.

EE requires constant checking, knowing your price/product, quick on the draw. It is a waste of time for novice buyers just like eBay. Gonna know your stuff, put in the time. If you want retail level service then buy retail.
