where do you get once fired 223 brass?

They pop up on the EE all the time. Just bought 2200 pieces at a good price. Relatively easy to find, it's the tumbling/fl resizing / trimming / chamfering / pocket crimp removal of 2200 pieces that is the hard part!

Budget shooter supply up top sells 1000 once fire lake city for $70 IIRC

Oops sorry man Im tired and misread your post, ya check for factory primers but won't hall with federal cases and CCI primers or win brass with win primers.

See now... I just dont get that..
Aside from Winchester brass most of what I have run across has a crimped primer pocket so why would one check the primer to begin with?

Truth be told I find it far easier to reload military brass then unpredictable and often out of spec (re pocket depth, rim thickness) commercial stuff.

At least with IVI and LC brass you know exactly what your going to see from case to case.
 
I think what carbonrod meant by checking for factory primers was to make sure you weren't gettin someone elses 5x fired stuff they threw out. The question is what do factory primers look like. I would be looking for chamfering and die marks indicating it had been reloaded before.
 
it used to be that most reloads used a silver colored primer, but winchester makes a copper colored, which is the same as the case- and all my discards are fired at least 4x-
